This dataset is part of the Agribalyse v3.0 database, which is currently available in SimaPro and openLCA native formats.

This inventory is part of AGB3.0. This process describe the production of algae Laminaria digitata and Laminaria hyperborea.
Non-optimized production considers a yield of 5 kg algae per meter culture rope, whereas optimized system production considers a yield of 25kg algae per meter culture rope, higher by a factor 5 compared to non-optimized production. In order to be consistent with French production, a fresh seaweed consumption mix has been created. It includes both production methods (optimized and non-optimized) with a proportion of 50% each. This corresponds to a realistic yield for France (expert judgment, Ronan Pierre, personal conversation, 5 November 2019).
