Description

The mined coal needs to be transported to the coal preparation plant for processing and washing. There are two modes of transportation in this process. One is the long-distance automobile transportation mode, which consumes diesel oil or gasoline and produces direct carbon emissions. This part is included in the carbon emissions of transportation together with the carbon emissions generated by the logistics and internal personnel transportation of the coal preparation plant ; the other is the transportation mode of belt, mine car and so on, which is suitable for close distance transportation. The consumed electric energy is included in the indirect emission of carbon emission accounting, and the drying link of coal washing will also consume electric energy to produce carbon emission. In the process of coal washing, there will also be carbon emissions caused by water production. Among them, because the wastewater can be degraded, the data of organic materials are difficult to obtain, and the carbon emission accounting in the process of slime water treatment is not studied. Different coal washing plants in the washing process will also be accompanied by carbon emissions from raw coal consumption. When utilizing this dataset for life cycle assessment purposes, it is important to consider the geological context and the specific mining condition as provided in the dataset. Users should also pay attention to the inclusion or exclusion of subsequent coal usage phases, such as transportation, combustion, or any processing post-washing. The applicability of the data should be in line with the technological realities of the Yongcheng mining area or similar contexts. Users should account for variations in quality and environmental impacts due to locale-specific mining practices, and the data should be updated or adapted to reflect technological advancements or changes in mining practices.
