The dataset represents electricity generation through fuel cell(PAFC and MCFC) using natural gas in Korea. It is based on the models created for the Korea EPD Energy database by Korea Environmental Industry & technology Insutiture(KEITI). The data is based on industry data supplied by power generation companies which have representative technology and thus reflecting the realtity in power generation through fuel cell using natural gas. The foreground data have been combined with LCI models integrating Korea LCI dataset on raw materials, energy supply systems, ancillary processes and materials as background data. Literatures also were used for background data of fuel cell production. Therefore, the data set covers all relevant process steps / technologies over the supply chain of the represented "cradle to gate" inventory.
The independent expert group in Korea, which is composed by KEITI, has critically reviewed the entire LCI data profile including data consolidation, development for the various LCI models and the calculation of the associated LCI data sets. null


Foreground Systems
The power generation process through fuel cell include reforming of natural gas and power generation.
The data for power generation through fuel cell was divided into three categorie: building, equipment and power generation.
For bulding, input include ready-mix concrete, cement and rebar, and output include waste cement, steel scrap and waste concrete.
For equipment, input inlcude PAFC and MCFC.
For power generation process, input includes LNG as raw material, process water, lubricating oil, N2 gas and filter(activated carbon) as ancillary materials. Output include electricigy and heat as product, wastewater and CO2.

Literatures were used for PAFC and MCFC production.
