Description

Location: BR - Brazil
The dataset refers to the production of 1000 Eucalyptus seedling. The dataset contains the production of Eucalyptus seedlings in a tree nursery for plantation in forests. The seedlings are produced in a heated greenhouse and wood wastes are bought for that. The final product is the seedlings planted in the substrate (as showed in the following picture) inside the polytubes where they are cultivated. Yield capacity is 1.3 million seedlings per month.
Undefined unit processes (UPRs) are the unlinked, multi-product activity datasets that form the basis for all of the system models available in the ecoinvent database. This is the way the datasets are obtained and entered into the database by the data providers. These activity datasets are useful for investigating the environmental impacts of a specific activity (gate-to-gate), without regard to its upstream or downstream impacts.
