Description

The feed described in this paper is mainly energy feed, including: corn, wheat, soybean, sorghum, rice. In fact, in the process of livestock breeding, livestock feed is mainly composed of corn, wheat and soybeans. Feed crop planting stage mainly includes fertilizer production stage, corn, soybean, wheat planting stage. Users of this LCA data set should ensure they apply the information within the context of poultry meat production life cycles, considering factors like feed conversion ratios and energy inputs. It is important to account for regional variations in feed composition and agricultural practices when using this data. Additionally, the dataset should be used to guide decisions about the sustainability and environmental impacts of poultry farming practices, including the use of fertilizers and consumption of resources such as coal and electricity in farming operations.

Technology

In this paper, the life cycle of livestock and poultry farming is divided into six stages: feed crop planting, feed processing, livestock and poultry raising, manure treatment, slaughter and transportation. The specific life cycle process of livestock and poultry breeding is shown in Figure 2-1. Due to the lack of some data and the limitations of basic conditions, the production, transportation and use of pesticides, mulch and feed additives have not been analyzed, and the environmental impact caused by other related infrastructure construction, transport production and labor costs is no longer considered.
