Description

The feed described in this paper is mainly energy feed, including: corn, wheat, soybean, sorghum, rice. In fact, in the process of livestock breeding, livestock feed is mainly composed of corn, wheat and soybeans. Feed crop planting stage mainly includes fertilizer production stage, corn, soybean, wheat planting stage. When utilizing this LCA dataset regarding the production of feed crops for livestock, users should account for regional variations in crop yields, livestock feed formulations, and associated energy consumption patterns. Attention should be given to the system boundaries set in the study, including fertilizer production and application, as well as site-specific practices observed during field research. This will ensure consistency in assessing the environmental impacts of feed crop production, and data should be updated with local parameters for accurate representation.

Technology

In this paper, the life cycle of livestock and poultry farming is divided into six stages: feed crop planting, feed processing, livestock and poultry raising, manure treatment, slaughter and transportation. The specific life cycle process of livestock and poultry breeding is shown in Figure 2-1. Due to the lack of some data and the limitations of basic conditions, the production, transportation and use of pesticides, mulch and feed additives have not been analyzed, and the environmental impact caused by other related infrastructure construction, transport production and labor costs is no longer considered.
