This calculation takes a waste incineration treatment plant as an example, which processes 1040 tons of municipal solid waste per day, and the basic moisture content of waste received is 49.38%. When employing this data set for Life Cycle Assessment, ensure that the system boundary is correctly defined as starting from the point of wet sludge with a moisture content of 70%-75%, post mechanical compression and dewatering at the sewage treatment plant, to the end-of-life disposal. Emphasize the co-incineration process with garbage for energy recovery which should be accounted for in the energy balance and emissions calculations. Special attention should be paid to the allocation procedures between waste treatment and energy production when using this data.
