Description

The carbon dioxide content is estimated based on the 95% conversion rate of carbon in the sludge, and the conventional components and heavy metal content of other flue gas are from the on-site monitoring data of a sludge incineration plant. When utilizing this dataset for Life Cycle Assessment, it is important to treat the described unit process as a distinct operation within the sludge management system. Consider the energy and resource inputs required for both drying and incineration stages, as well as the emissions and residues resulting from the process. Users should ensure that the dataset is applicable to the geographic and technological context of the sludge treatment and correct for any differences in practice or scale. Additionally, if considering recycling or the environmental impact post-disposal, these aspects must be integrated into the overall LCA framework separately.

Technology

Wet sludge first enters the sludge dryer for drying treatment, from the moisture content of 80% to 50%; the dried sludge is sent to the fluidized bed for combustion, and the temperature of the fluidized bed is between 850~1 000 °C; the high-temperature flue gas produced by combustion enters the air preheater, and the preheated air enters the fluidized bed as combustion air; the flue gas from the air preheater enters the waste heat boiler to heat the boiler feed water, and the high-temperature steam (0.8 MPa, 200) produced by the waste heat boiler °C) enters the sludge dryer as a heat source to dry the sludge, and the cooled flue gas is discharged after ash removal and dust removal treatment.
