Sludge landfill will produce a large amount of leachate, and various components in the leachate, especially heavy metals, will have a greater impact on the surrounding soil and water environment, because the landfill leachate data is difficult to obtain, the amount of leachate produced in this paper is estimated to be 5% of the sludge mass according to the literature, and the content of each component refers to the filtrate produced by mechanical compression of sludge in sewage treatment plant. When utilizing this data set for Life Cycle Assessment, it is important to ensure that the boundaries of the analysis accurately reflect the landfill disposal phase of municipal sludge with a corresponding moisture content of 80%. The functional unit of 1 tonne of sludge should be applied consistently across the study when assessing environmental impacts, resource consumption, and economic costs associated with the landfill process. Consideration should be given to any emissions generated, energy and materials used, and related activities up to the point of landfilling. Specific attention should be paid to regional variations in sludge composition, treatment technologies, and regulations.
