This dataset describes the transport needed for an average export of Algerian natural gas to Greece (expressed in tkm). An average distance of 1200 km is estimated for the export. For the pipeline transport 100 km offshore pipeline are included.
Characteristics are based on the ecoinvent report v2 'Erdgas' from 2007: HV; 41.39 MJ/m-3; density, 0.78 kg/m-3, 0.65 kg CH4/m-3, kg CO2/m-3.
Undefined unit processes (UPRs) are the unlinked, multi-product activity datasets that form the basis for all of the system models available in the ecoinvent database. This is the way the datasets are obtained and entered into the database by the data providers. These activity datasets are useful for investigating the environmental impacts of a specific activity (gate-to-gate), without regard to its upstream or downstream impacts.
