Description

Location: US - United States
This unit process represents average sheep production for wool with the outputs of 4.2 kg of sheep fleece in the grease and a by-product of 7.85 kg of sheep for slaughtering, live weight and (average output of husbandry of one sheep during one year). This dataset is a copy dataset from the respective US geography and therefore might not represent fully the global situation.
Undefined unit processes (UPRs) are the unlinked, multi-product activity datasets that form the basis for all of the system models available in the ecoinvent database. This is the way the datasets are obtained and entered into the database by the data providers. These activity datasets are useful for investigating the environmental impacts of a specific activity (gate-to-gate), without regard to its upstream or downstream impacts.

Technology

Conventional production typical for the country. Water for irrigation is pumped from 48 meter depth by electric pumps.
