The manufactured iron towers, equipped to support 40 cable lines, are specifically used for the construction of wind farms. These towers are part of the infrastructure that enables the mounting of 33 domestically produced 1.5 megawatt (MW) wind turbines, which are utilised for generating renewable energy and reducing environmental impacts through substitution effects. Users of this LCA data set should consider the context of the wind farm's location in northeast Inner Mongolia, where wind power installation is most prevalent, to assess environmental impact appropriateness. When employing this data, users must account for manufacturing stages encompassing production of wind turbines, substations, and cables, while paying special attention to the energy consumed and pollutants emitted during these processes as documented by Xue et al. (2015). Ensure that the functional unit for assessment corresponds to the 1.5 MW turbine's life cycle.
