This dataset represents the activity of waste disposal of waste plastic, mixture in a unsanitary landfill. Recommended use of this dataset: For plastic mixture, which goes to disposal as part of managed communal waste mixture. // Waste composition (wet, in ppm): upper heating value 34.05 MJ/kg; lower heating value 30.79 MJ/kg; H2O 153000; O 73717; H 105910; C 633590; S 1406.7; N 6112; P n.a.; B n.a.; Cl 18131; Br 65.319; F 13.717; I n.a.; Ag n.a.; As 1.7729; Ba 174.03; Cd 75.786; Co 29.478; Cr 38.132; Cu 296.41; Hg 0.79234; Mn 74.574; Mo n.a.; Ni 19.222; Pb 435.81; Sb 40.093; Se 1.9596; Sn 24.453; V 268.88; Zn 521.69; Be 0.46656; Sc n.a.; Sr 82.582; Ti 933.13; Tl 0.37325; W n.a.; Si n.a.; Fe 3476.5; Ca n.a.; Al 186.63; K n.a.; Mg n.a.; Na 1367.5; . // Share of carbon in waste that is biogenic 0%. Undefined unit processes (UPRs) are the unlinked, multi-product activity datasets that form the basis for all of the system models available in the ecoinvent database. This is the way the datasets are obtained and entered into the database by the data providers. These activity datasets are useful for investigating the environmental impacts of a specific activity (gate-to-gate), without regard to its upstream or downstream impacts.

This is an inventory for an unsanitary, sub-controlled landfill for municipal solid waste. Ultimate average landfill height is 15 meters. Operation phase duration is 25 years.Percentage of landfill gas directly emitted is 100w%.
Leachate of the landfill is not treated. Leachate flow is upward to the surface due to net negative infiltration. No leachate treatment can be performed. Based on average waste composition and climate data the end of carbonate phase is estimated to be reached 6681 years after waste deposition. Arid conditions at this location prompt formation of evaporites from landfill contents which are partially eroded by wind. It is assumed that 10% of these evaporites are eroded by wind and airborne. Initial decay in the first 100 years of this waste results in a wind erosion rate corresponding to 21.04 g/m2.year and long-term decay corresponds to wind erosion of 21.57 g/m2.year.
